Entropy-Seeded Ordering

The mechanism that makes front-running impossible on the AEON trust-trading venue. Patent #5, live.

Entropy-seeded ordering
Quantum entropy → SHA-256 seed Deterministic HMAC ranking Anti-front-running

1 · Entropy → Consensus Seed

entropy source: browser CSPRNG (production: ANU vacuum-fluctuation detector)
entropy bytes: —
consensus seed: —
The seed is a SHA-256 hash of true random bytes. It is published only at sequencing time — nobody can know it in advance.

2 · Inbound Orders (arrive simultaneously)

On a normal venue, a fast bot reads the arrival queue and jumps ahead. Here, arrival order does not matter.

3 · Entropy-Sequenced Order

PositionOrderSideUnitQtyRank (HMAC of seed + order id)
Position = rank of HMAC-SHA256(seed, order-id). Since the seed is unpredictable, the position is unpredictable — until the seed is published, after which the order is fixed and reproducible.

Why this stops front-running

On timestamp-ordered venues, whoever is fastest (high-frequency traders, MEV bots) can predict and exploit the queue. On AEON, the position of every simultaneous order is derived from quantum vacuum entropy that is published only at sequencing time. The order is:
